Summer Education Research Program Application Open-UW Madison
The School of Education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison invites you to apply for the Summer Education Research Program (SERP) sponsored by the School of Education and the Graduate School.
SERP provides traditionally underrepresented undergraduate students interested in pursuing graduate school with opportunities to engage in research guided by faculty and research staff mentors in the School of Education.

I hope you are doing well as the Fall Quarter (and year) comes to a close (hard to believe how time has flown by)! It was so great connecting with you in October. As we head towards the Winter Quarter, I wanted to share an event that the UW NextGen Civic Leader Corps is hosting on January 10th as well as some of our program updates!
The NextGen “Winter Kickoff” is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to learn more about the NextGen community as well as upcoming events, leadership roles and other involvement opportunities. We also plan to facilitate some community building/socializing activities during the event to connect students from across disciplines with each other. I have attached the flyer (and image description below) which includes a QR code and link to the RSVP form. If possible, we would certainly love to for this opportunity to be shared with any students in the Honors program who are interested in community engagement/getting involved!

We are also planning a series of opportunities throughout the Winter Quarter for students to engage in both hands-on community service and listen to discussions on local/national issues from community leaders. This includes a “NextGen Teams” program which connects undergraduate students in small groups and provides them with the opportunity to build community and explore these public service-related events together.
